Services: Assessment

Early movement development is assessed through simple exercises that often just seem like play. Through this assessment an individual program can be created for the individual being assessed.

     • Midline barriers
     • Laterality/Sidedness
     • Bi-lateral integration
     • Spatial orientation/body geography
     • Visual/auditory skills
     • Motor planning
     • Fine and gross motor abilities

The length of time required to bring about improvement varies with each individual and the time available to support the program with home exercises. When it takes longer than anticipated, it may imply that subtle neurological or constitutional health issues are involved as well. A consultation with medical and therapeutic practitioners may be recommended in this case.
